Throughout history, animal testing has played an important role in leading to new discoveries and human benefit. However, what many people forget are the great numbers of animals that have suffered serious harm during the process of animal testing. Animal testing is the use of animals in biological, medical, and psychological studies. The development and enhancement of medical research has been based on the testing of animals. There are many questions being asked if animal research is good or not or if the benefit for us is way greater the abuse of animals. Doing tests on animals can help find ways to cure diseases, but testing on them is wrong. Respecting my elders, and everyone else, just comes natural to me, because when I was just a little girl, I was taught that I must always respect my elders, if I didnt, Id get a slap on my face by my parents. As I grew up, I came to realize the true meaning of the phrase, respect your elders, and I agree fully with my mothers teachings. I not only respected my elders, but I respected everyone around me. When I had my children, I taught them the same way my parents taught me, on how to respect their elders, and why. Critical Analysis Virtues are an intriguing concept. To do something and not to the others, to feel selectively, to choose from an array of options, is a dangerously subjective task. In addition, taking up an analysis of virtues and virtuous people, is an interesting task (Weiss, 2009). Also, in the process of the analysis and writing, somewhere deep, I try to ask myself- what are those qualities which you feel are your virtues? This question, one must ask himself from time to time. The article was selected to ensure that the research and ideas reach out to people someone somewhere gets inspired and tries to look for goodness within him. That is how we can effect a change and witness a good result (Alzola, 2015). Moreover, it will be beneficial in the end. It is like connecting dot in a sequence one by one. In addition, this world demands more of virtues than vision now. Vision touches many, virtues smile at a few (Clarke, 2010). There is not anything here, which is right or wrong. It all depends on the societal price we are ready to pay for a selected course of action. However, given our societal rulebook, we have segregated things, as virtues and vices. Moreover, virtues are virtues because most people feel they are supposed to be named so. In fact, it is not that difficult when it comes to real scenario. The habits and character with which we are born, and those that we pick up and imbibe with time make us how we are. We got these basic traits. Such features in there in the nature from the very beginning. Social harmony, moderate attitude instead of extremism, positive and right intensions make up virtues in totality (Douma Hein, 2013). It is a great way that boosts the existence of virtue and enhances it further. Virtue is in fact, a mixture of various elements and that determines the future. This is the main reason why there has been an enhanced stress on corporate governance. The presence of such eleme nts ensures that the company has the correct virtue and can be said to be the catalyst that will propel the business higher and further. The greatest of philosophers such as Aristotle and Plato too were intrigued by the idea of virtues, and they did an elaborate analysis on the same. The soul, the mental side to be precise, of a person has many capabilities such as thinking, wanting, liking, hating, and an array of other such mental capabilities. These can be teamed as either the passion driven capabilities or reason driven or the strongest of all- desire driven. However, in a virtuous person, the rational part is more stimulated than any other virtue and thus, his desires and passion too bootstraps the lead of reasoning from their rational part (Choi Meek, 2011). Virtues can be impaired in two ways. It is either the weak will power or the vice of self-indulgence. A weak will power suggests that the person is aware of the existence of wrong in his action, and is conscious about them, but is helpless because of his weak will. The ill will becomes a barrier and that debars him from performing the desired task. Now we here must also know what these ethical jargons really mean (Mallin, 2011). There are four kinds of people. In ethical order, there are moderate people, who know what they are doing, are aware of actions, and choose the moderate course. In this course of action, there is a good approach and no complexity is involved. Then there are self-controlled people, who fight against their inner appetites and still choose to tread the ethical path. The other category is of the weak willed people who know what the right action is, and wish to do the same, but their vice-appetite pulls them away from righteousness (Mcdaniel, 2011). The major loop hole lies in their inner sense that prevents them from doing the correct thing. The last ones are immoderate ones. They are either ignorant or unmoved at the idea of virtues and choose not to drop a sweat on it either. It is the most ignorant group and is completely drifted away from the good ideas. In short, they do not have any aim or purpose. These ideas are all pervasive. Be it at an organisational, societal, or individual level, we all need to follow them. We cannot do away with our virtues. These are the little bricks upon which the entire empire of success and well-being lay. Virtue is the pillar on which the entire concept stands (Brealey et. al, 2011). Without virtue, everything will come under the scanner and there will be little scope of good performance. The analysis above which talks about ethics on personal level, apply to professionals and businesses too. Ethics are an important feature in corporate and plays a determines role because business that runs on ethics provide immense utility (Gibson Douglas, 2013). Key business practices thrive on the lines of business ethics. Successful business thrives on the concept of ethics, as business with a system of ethics tends to grab the opportunity with ease and flexibility. Moreover, there is calmness in the environment as the practice is fair and free from all ill practices. Generosity, honesty, fair play, and equality are the keys practices to follow in order to be called ethical in business. Honesty is rooted in the core values of a business (Serenko Bontis, 2009). Honesty can be expanded into a full set of three subjects for guidance and principles: Working along with partners, collaborations along with other colleagues and protecting the company and business. Containing a perfect v irtue like honesty or courage, though, or having an ideal person in a company to follow, might help in striving to develop the value of acting in a virtuous way (Lubatkin, 2009). A company that has a strong level of ethics out performs the one that has low level of ethics. Hence, it can be said to be a part of any company. Generating profit at the cost of others will deteriorate the business and least chance will be there to be successful in the long term. Conclusion Overall, the inference of the discussion is that no matter how good the business prospects and the business practices are, an organisation cannot succeed unless it follows sound business ethics. Each individual working there needs these ethics at all levels of management. Not only is it necessary for survival but also for healthy growth and synergies in business. Virtues are not just set of best practices. They are the whole set of practices actually undertaken to make a righteous work machinery. The special spice mix can add flavour of success to even the smallest of entities. As an inference to the entire discussion, a successfully implemented ethic plan is all that one needs in order to succeed. Ethics plan will not only bring a well-cultured environment, but will also help in attainment of the goals with ease and flexibility. Ethics are the need of the hour and it is imperative for each organization to have a sound system of ethics that will help to attain the goals (Goergen, 201 2). I found that the war was good portrayed in No Price Too High. There were tonss of good facets in the film. For one, I liked the manner the film was all in black and white, it added character to the film. I besides liked how there were original cartridge holders of the war. It was nice in the manner that each cartridge holder had an intermission with the historian stating his point of position. In the docudrama, I noticed that Hitler was non a really tall or bulky adult male. That surprised me really much, with all that power that he had over everyone you would hold expected person in the scope of a heavy weight title-holder. That merely goes to demo that the pen is mightier than the blade. In decision, I have to state that the war was more informative than I had thought. Rock And Roll In The 1950s Rock and roll set the cultural standard of a generation. The components which comprised the landscape of modern life, and in particular American life, in the 1950s provided not only the backdrop but the impetus for the development of rock and roll and its impact on society. Rigid social rules enforced on a younger generation with more time and money on its hands than ever before sparked a flame of rebellion that threatened to burn traditional social conventions to the ground. It was these factors which constructed the framework for the renovation of social mores that began in the 1950s and drastically changed the social order of the 1960s and beyond. The music which came into being during the second half of the 20th century reflected the dualistic consciousness of the battle between constraint and rebellion which was fought by the youth of the times (Weinstein 94). An understanding of the beginnings of this battleground must start with a look at the nature of the society that preceded it. At the beginning of the 20th century, teenagers and young adults were not thought of as a separate societal group known as youth. Youth was simply a transitional period between childhood and adulthood (Weinstein 94). It was common for young people to be engaged in full-time work before they were old enough to be sexually mature. Post-World War II affluence coupled with changes in labor laws and a need for a better-educated work force meant that young people entered the labor market later and had more free time. Rather than working to help support their families, teenagers spent the money they earned (or got from their parents) on themselves. The post-war economy gave teenagers more disposable income than any previous generation had enjoyed (McDonald 85). Rather than thinking of their youth as a time of training to become productive members of society, many young people began seeing it as a time to live hedonistically for the moment and to rebel against assertions of adult authority (Weinstein 94). Perhaps the most emblematic aspect of this societal segment was its music, which was first known as rock and roll, then merely as rock, and later developed into a bewildering array of different types of rock (Weinstein 91). Rock and roll did not spontaneously generate from nothing as a wholly new art form. Rather, it was a hybrid of blues, dance-oriented rhythm and blues, and country, or hillbilly music (Hill 43). Rockabilly evolved in the mid-fifties, as a white southern fusion of country music, blues, gospel, and rhythm and blues, and provided the musical catalyst which allowed many white musicians to break free of the boundaries of traditional country music and move on to early rock and roll (Friedlander 16). Although the various types of blues and country music were gaining in popularity by the early 1950s, it would not be considered wholly proper for a cultured, urban, middle-class white teenager to listen to or, especially, to dance to this type of music (Hill 43). The pulsating beat of this type of music, and the rock and roll it was evolving into, made it particularly appealing to youth-and appalling to adults. The forbidden nature of this race- and class-specific music made it more compelling than mainstream, white music. It is important to remember that society in the 1950s was very rigidly controlled by the same mind-sets that allowed McCarthyism to take root. Racial segregation and sexual repression were a fact of the 1950s (McDonald 95). Young people living in that most proper decade were yearning to break free, and rock and roll music provided that outlet (Hill 45). Rock and roll music was considered nothing less than culturally subversive by the older, power-wielding generation because it allowed white, middle-class youth to mingle with and be influenced by improper elements such as Negroes and poor white trash (Hill 51). Rock and roll scandalized many white people. The scandal was that white adolescents were adopting black cultural styles and black heroes. This was miscegenation, racial mixing, and was seen as a rebellious act against the dominant group (Weinstein 95). The beat of rock and roll, which made it so danceable, was nothing less than the savage and primitive rhythm of darkest Africa invoking the beat of sexual intercourse (Hill 47). So powerful was the music on the malleable minds of youth that some even considered rock and roll a new form of mind control with dangerous affinities to fascism (Hill 47). This market-driven Negrification of white youth that the new strains of music invoked frightened many of the older generation, who d id what they could to stifle it. Attempts were made to placate the youthful thirst for rock and roll by having white singers like Pat Boone cover the most popular songs, but the driving beat of true rock and roll could not be stopped (Hill 49). A major contributor which allowed rock and roll to sweep the country like an unrelenting tidal wave was the advent of television. The FCC had blocked television licenses for a time due to concerns over technical problems, but in 1952 began granting them again. When television took over almost all the comedy and variety programming that had been the purview of radio, radio stations found themselves with hours of programming to fill-and a new genre of music to fill them with (Curtis 42). Conservative, middle-class parents saw this new kind of music as a threat to their social domination and way of life (Hill 54). No single person exemplified this threat more than Elvis Presley. Elvis was the antithesis of the Pat Boone crowd, a rebel from a poor, working-class family. He was considered both culturally and politically dangerous; his conduct, dress, and music challenged traditional notions of class and race, and arguably, even gender as well (Hill 55). To some, Elviss wild, grinding, abandoned hip movements . . . were reminders of the old spectacular presentations of female sex, like that of a burlesque show (Hill 55). In Elviss first television appearance on the Milton Berle Show, his dancing gyrations caused a public outcry. His next scheduled television appearance, on the Steve Allen Show, was only saved by the instigation of a plan to thwart the offensive hip movements: he sang Hound Dog dressed in formal tails and sang to a basset hound (Shumway 126). When he appeared on the Ed Sullivan television show later that year, he was shown only from the waist up, per Sullivans edict. Elvis seemed to epitomize the idea that rock and roll had sexualized teenagers, causing them to become addicted to the pleasures of the body. Rock and roll seemed to do away with inhibitions and provoke a sort of erotic vandalism (Altschuler 67). In the 1960s, the original rock and roll music of Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Elvis Presley began to evolve into the rock music of the Beatles, Kinks and Rolling Stones (Weinstein 96). By the late 1960s, rock music had begun to develop a social conscience (McDonald 85). Songwriters like Bob Dylan and Lennon and McCartney started to write about social issues such as war, the economy, politics, and feminism. Rock and roll had moved from the music of teenage rebellion to the music of the masses (McDonald 85). Advocating the use of mind-altering drugs and opposing the governments military policies became the youthful rebellion of that decade (Weinstein 95). It was during this time that teenagers were transformed into youth' (Weinstein 96). The distinction between the two is not just a matter of semantics. Young people began to become conscious of themselves as actors on the world stage, aware that their social consciousness wielded a power of its own. The baby boom generation was beginning to attend college, where the free speech movement turned into the youth-based anti-Vietnam War movement (Weinstein 96). The civil rights movement and the assassinations of the Kennedys and Martin Luther King, Jr. also contributed to the transformation of consciousness of the eras youth. These events affected the type of rock music that was being created, as singer-songwriters like Bob Dylan and Barry McGuire voiced the political objections of a generation. A backlash of social repression against political demonstrations by young people had a dampening effect on the use of protest as a power tool. The riot in Chicago at the 1968 Democratic national presidential convention and the killing of student protestors by the Ohio National Guard at Kent State University may have contributed to a greater tendency on the part of youth to delve into psychological and spiritual journeys with the aid of drugs, rather than seeking social change on the front lines of demonstrations (Weinstein 96). The lyrics to rock songs would often promote these inner pursuits of the drug-assisted mind, while a particular sub-genre, psychedelic rock, was used to enhance the hallucinatory experience. The raw, raucous exuberance of 1950s rock and roll still existed in various manifestations of rock music, but it had also split off into other types of music with a much quieter, more introspective, form of rebellion. It was arguably the rigid nature of the social structure of the 1950s which instigated its own destruction. It may be inherent within the youthful spirit to rebel against whatever restraints the older generation imposes. However, the rigidity of the mid-20th-century middle class mindset, combined with a newfound post-war affluence, set the stage for major social change, and the soundtrack to that change was rock and roll. Without the convention-shattering impact of 1950s rock and roll on societal expectations, the enormous social upheavals of the 1960s might never have come about, or at least, might have occurred decades later. The wild abandon of rock and rolls youthful enthusiasm opened doors of class, race, and gender that had never been opened before, paving the way to a complete reshaping of social interaction.

There are not always signs telling us the way to go or the choice to make; we must find out what lies ahead for ourselves. In his "The Road Not Taken," Robert Frost relates to the reader such a choice, symbolic, perhaps of any major decision in life. The traveler in Frost's poem must blindly decide between two similar paths, and this decision greatly affects his life thereafter. In the opening stanza, Frost takes the reader into a "yellow wood," setting the scene. Both this location and time of year are important in the description of the traveler's decision. The idea of being in a forest brings to mind towering trees and plants blocking everything but the path traveled. This image is a way of showing that even though we all are different, everyone must follow certain guidelines. The traveler then "looked down one [path] as ... ...and it has changed his life. Daddy Long Legs a book by Jean Webster tells the story of Seraph Abbott whose life takes a drastic turn after learning that a mysterious benefactor referred to as Mr.. John Smith by Mrs.. Lappet. Mr.. Smith takes an unusual Interest In MISS. Abbots education. In the past, e has sent only male students to higher educations. In exchange for her education and monthly allowance, Seraph Abbott is required to write a letter every month, for which she will never expect a reply. Seraph grew up in an asylum where she was the oldest; meaning she had the responsibility of making sure the little ones were ready in the morning and ready for bed at night among many other chores. They were not fed the highest quality of food, and had to wear other peoples old clothes. She often got stared at school from the other girls whom had nice clothing. During one of the monthly visits from the trustees, Mrs.. Lappet informs Seraph that Mr.. John Smith who she later refers to as Daddy Long Legs Is a rich man has offered to be her benefactor for her college studies. He has heard from her former teachers and knows that she Is an excellent writer. This direct quote from when she Is Informed that Mr.. Seraph spent many hours reading books to educate herself and to make her life easier by allowing her to communicate with her peers. Im a foreigner in the world and I dont understand the language. Its a miserable feeling. Ive had it all my life. At the high school the girls would stand in groups and Just look at me. I was queer and different and everybody knew it. Thinking back to the beginning, it was sometimes grueling to follow the storyline. One of the difficulties in reading this was on how Judy sometimes wrote everyday multiple times a day to only monthly. This novel is worthwhile of the time it took to finish reading it. Anyone who enjoys getting caught up in such well rounded characters and viewing their lives through their own eyes will enjoy this book. Jean Webster created a wonderful piece of work describing in detail how this young lady learns more about herself as she grows up.

At the peak of the depression we left our home and started for California, where it was said gold was being mined. I was young but I grew fast, learning to fend for myself, to survive on my own. We had been traveling for two weeks now. Where we were heading I had no idea. My mother kept saying we were almost there, that it was just a little further. I didnt know what to believe. It felt like we had been traveling for an eternity. It was the winter of 32, three years after the great stock market crash. Although we packed as much food as we could, it still wasnt enough to get us through several days. We would stop in soup kitchens along the way, to get a free meal. It always felt awkward to me going to places and having people give us food for free, knowing there were so many others starving, scraping for every penny that they could get. I remember the first soup kitchen we went in, Brother Can You Spare a Dime played on the radio as we found ourselves a seat. My father picked up a newspaper sitting on the table. He was about seven then, and was beginning to notice things and ask questions as children will It seemed to me that the child would be poisoned if he breathed the air of this polluted house. That was why I sent him away. (Ghosts, Act I, p. 93) She rationalizes her decision. Mrs. Alving and Nora prove that they love their children through their actions in the plays, which are often similar.Ã As much as Ibsen deliberately made his characters similar, he also made what happens to them different. At the end of A Dolls House, Nora ends being the victor. She leaves her husband because it is what she wants and she knows how to get it. Oh, Torvald, I dont believe any longer in wonderful things happening That our life together would be a real wedlock. Good-bye. (A Dolls House, Act III, p. 68) With this, she leaves her house and the man she was in a loveless marriage with. Mrs. Alving does not have the same fortune as Nora. I cant bear it! Never! (Ghosts, Act III, p. 128) A main difference in Mrs. Alving and Noras attitudes is that Nora left her husband when she couldnt take it any more and Mrs. Alving waited for hers to die.Ã Listen, Torvald. I have heard that when a wife deserts her husbands house, as I am doing now, he is legally freed from all obligations towards her. (A Dolls House, Act III, p. 67) Nora tells him. This shows that she is a stronger character than Mrs. Alving, because she actually stood up to her husband and told him that his behavior was unacceptable. I had my little boy, and endured it for his sake I took the upper hand in the house absolutely both with him and all the others. I had a weapon to use against him (Ghosts, Act I, p. 92-93) Mrs. Alving shows that she took the easy way out. She could have stood up to Mr. Alving and taken her son and left, but instead she chose to go along with it, just standing in his shadow and quietly telling him that she was unhappy. The similarities that come out in the characters of Mrs. Alving and Nora are always mixed in with other situations that make them different. Ibsen wanted to prove to his audience that it wasnt always healthy to be in a marriage and by doing this he went against the norms of society. Neither play has a so-called happy ending, because not all the characters have had their issues resolved by the end. The two plays show the different angles that he wanted the audience to be aware of, but their endings repeat a point for clarity.

INTRODUCTION OF SURAH AL FATIHAThe word ââ¬Å"Fatihaâ⬠comes from the verb ââ¬Å"Fatahaâ⬠, which means in this text ââ¬Å"to openâ⬠. ââ¬Å"Alâ⬠is a defined article and Fatiha means the opening Surah, which opens the Quran. Some Muslims interpret it as this surah has ability to open a person's faith in Allah. It is the Mecci Surah of the Holy Quran, which means that it was discovered on the Prophet of God while He was in Makah, It also has the honor of being the very first Surah that is made known completely. Although it consists of 7 Ayahsonly, but it still explains the Veneration of the Almighty in a very comprehensive fashion and also is a great means of supplication of asking Allah for keeping one on the right path. It is also named Umm al-Qur'an, the Mother of the Qur'an, and Umm al-Kitab, the Mother of the Book because it summarizes the meaning of whole Quran. It is also named Sab'ul-Mathani, (the Seven Often Repeated Verses), Al-Hamd, (the Praise), Al-Shifa (The Cure) and Ar-Ruqya, the Spiritual Cure. Its recitation is a condition for the effectiveness of the prayer.VIRTUES OF SURAH FATIHASurah Al Fatiha has many virtues. Some of them are briefly defined here:It is cure of diseases such as Snake sting, Epilepsy or any otherillness. An Angel addressed the Prophet(SAW) saying:ââ¬Å"Rejoice in two lights brought to you which have not been brought to any prophet before you, Al-Fatihah and the last verses of Al- Baqarahâ⬠It is cure for heart as it protects heart from offensive motives.THEME OF SURAH FATIHAIt declares that God alone is the maintainer of all the known and the unknown worlds, ultimate source of mercy, justice and guidance for mankind. Only He can guide man to the way of life acceptable to him though he doesn't compel anyone to follow that way. Instead, in the words of the Quran, it is man's duty to beg before Him for guidance: Allah said in Quran that: call on Me,I shall answer your supplicationâ⬠(40:60). He also tells man the consequences of following this code of conduct or going astray. Therefore, man needs to praise and worship him and resort to him alone. AsHe is the supreme justice and everybody will have to answer Him on the day of Judgement for his worldly deeds.TAFSEER OF SURAH ALFATIHA1. In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.This statement is also known as the basmala.Baa means In the name of Allah or seeking help or blessing with the name of ALLAH.As in Arabic language it has three different meanings.The Meaning of al-Rahman and al-Raheem:Both these names are derived from the same root letters: raa, haa, meem; which means to have mercy. They are thus similar in meaning and both are connected to Allah's (SWT) Mercy. Allah has started the first surah with his names of mercy rather than might and power that shows that how important this characteristic is.And there also exist a difference between Al Rahman and AL Raheem. Al-RahmanIt is Allah's mercy to all the creation as in one of hadith it is mentioned that Allah has divided his mercy into 100 parts and only one part is sent down to this dunia.It is from this one part of His Mercy that animals show mercy to their offspring (Sahih Muslim)Allah says in QURAN: My Mercy encompasses all things. (Al-A'raf: 156) Al-RaheemAl-Raheem indicated the Mercy of Allah which is specific for the believers. It indicated the doing of action that only those people have mercy who believes in Allah.Allah says in Quran: He is full of mercy to the believers (Al-Ahzab:43)2. [All] praise is [due] to Allah, Lord of the worldsAccording to scholarsHamd and shukar has same meaning i.e.Thankfulness or gratitude. But in actual they have some difference i.e.Hamd is something which must be done with love and reverence, but shukr does not need this. Shukr is done in response to a favour which is done to a person but hamd is done simply because the one being praised and thanked is wor thy of that.Rabb:Rabb comes from the root letter Raa; Baa, Baa means one having control over something. SoRaab means one who controls or cherishes everything and is the king and master of everything. In case of ALLAH; He is alone the master whole universe and cherishes it.Aa'lameen means everything that exists other than ALLAH TALA which includes those things which have an intellect, and they are four i.e. mankind, Jins, angels and devils. It also includes those things which have souls. But it is believed that the view about everything that exists other than Allah is best because of proofs being ayah 23 and 24 of Surah Shu'ara.Said Pharaoh, ââ¬Å"And what is the Lord of the worlds?â⬠(23)[Moses] said, ââ¬Å"The Lord of the heavens and earth and that between them, if you should be convinced.â⬠(24)3. The Entirely Merciful, and beneficial Here these two names are repeated to again emphasis on two important attributes of Allah that is mercy. When something is repeated in Quran pak we see ayah before it and after it to see how they are related. Here the previous ayah told the power of Allah that He has the control over everything yet again here Allah defined Himself as the most merciful as well and tells that His taking of and sustaining and providing for us is all part of his mercy towards us. 4. Master of the Day of Judgment The first word of this ayah can be recited in two ways: either as ââ¬Å"Maalikâ⬠(with a madd after the meem) or as ââ¬Å"Malikâ⬠(without the madd). Maalik means master, and it refers to ââ¬Å"milkâ⬠ââ¬â the ownership of something. Malik means king, and it refers to ââ¬Å"mulkâ⬠ââ¬â the dominion of a person. It is the Day of Recompense for deeds. Everyone will be gathered on this day. Some will be rewarded through His Mercy while others punished through His Justice. Allah specifically mentions His sovereignty alone on the Day of Judgment in this verse because no one will claim anything on that day and no one will be allowed to speak except by His permission. For some scholars it is the most alarming ayah of Quran whereas some scholars says it's the most calmest ayah of Quran which gives ry of hope to people that there would be day of justice. 5. It is You we worship and You we ask for help.At this point, there is a shift in the Surah from informing us about Allah (SWT) and praising Him, to addressing Him.ââ¬Å"We worshipâ⬠means we obey. Worship is obedience and self-abasement. It means to humble yourself before Allah (SWT) and to submit to His Will. Outwardly it is self-abasement, but in reality, it is glory and beautification. The ayah affirms the Lordship of Allah and affirms that worship is due to Him.ââ¬Å"Iyyaakanasta'eenâ⬠means we seek help, support and success.It also refers the status of the slave and his worship which is lower so it will come after mentioning the Lord, Allah (SWT).This verse is a proof that the slave is not allowed to divert any type of worship to other than Allah. The verse also contains remedy for the hearts from the illness of being attached to other than Allah. There is also a cure in it against spiritual diseases of showing off, self-admiration, and arrogance. 6. Guide us to the straight pathThis part of Surah Al-Fatiha is dua in which we asks ALLAH to show us right path so that we do good deeds to get closer to Allah. We need to struggle towards Allah (SWT) by doing good deeds and by staying away from all bad deeds which will distance us from Him.The word ââ¬Å"siraatâ⬠in ayah means path. But it is not any other ordinary path rather it has certain conditions which has to be fullfilled.Theseconditions are that it must be straight path. It must reach the goal and it must be shortest route to achieve the goal. Otherwise it would be called something else such as tareeq or sabeel.The word ââ¬Å"Mustaqeemâ⬠in ayah is derived from istaqaama, which means to be straight, upright, and correct. We already said that for a road to be a sirat it must be straight, so this adjective of mustaqeem again emphasis the straightness of this Path. Another meaning of mustaqeem is to remain firm or to stand firm without tilting. For example, a tree that is firmly grounded when the wind blows it is not affected by it. So, the Straight Path is a path on which people are firmly grounded.7. The path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who have evoked [Your] anger or of those who are astray. Who are the people who have been blessed by Allah (SWT) and whose Path we ask to guide to? This is explained by Allah (SWT) in another ayah where He says: â⬠Whosoever obeys Allah, and the Messenger, they are with those whom Allah has favored, the Prophets, the sincere, the martyrs and the righteous, and these are the best company. ââ¬Å"(Al-Nisa': 69) So, the favored and blessed people are the Prophets, the righteous, the martyrs and the pious. And who are the people with anger on them and those who are astray? This is explained by the Prophet. ââ¬ËAdiibnHatim (RA) asked him about those with anger on them and he replied that it refers to the Jews. He then asked him about those who are astray and he replied that it refers to the Christians. This is reported by al-Tirmidhi and is authentic.IMPACT OF SURAH AL FATIHA ON MUSLIMSSurah Fatiha has great impact on Muslims. According to some scholars this surah opens the faith of people. And repeatedly recitation of Surah Fatiha brin gs one closer to Allah. It drive us to ensure that we are sincere to the meaning of words that You alone we worship and to You alone we ask for help.
